We have been so busy the past few weeks with the Teddy Bear Hospital, in fact we have been interviewed and filmed for BBC Look East, been interviewed on Radio Suffolk three times and had two articles written for us in the EADT,

We are feeling so lucky and blessed to have so much interest shown in our business. Huge thanks to the lovely Nicki Dixon who got the ball rolling for us with her journalism skills and contacts!

Ken and myself absolutely love restoring precious bears for people, they hold so many memories from childhood, anniversaries etc...if you need your bear restoring please contact Matron

We can also 'restring' dolls when the dolls limbs become floppy or even detached from the dolls body and in the future we will be able to provide further doll surgeries, watch this space

Over the coming Summer months we have some lovely Events lined up for you to enjoy.....

  • Teddy bears `picnic' in the garden for young and old alike to bring along their treasured teddy bears and enjoy a picnic style lunch. Date to be confirmed.....

  • Sunday 8th June we will have our D-Day Street Garden Party with wartime food and Miss Molly Rose of the 'Three Chordettes' will serenade us.

There will be a competition for all to enter too, this will be to bake a cake to a wartime recipe.

The winner will receive a voucher for an Afternoon Tea for 2 people! This event will be ticket only so we can cater for the buffet... £25 per person

  • Thursday the 17th July the amazing 'Louloubelle" and Chris , both amazing mediums of the spiritual kind will be with us most of the day from 11am and will give readings, tasseography, tarot cards etc. This event will take place in the Parlour which is private and calm and has great 'energy'

  • Sass boutique will be holding her very first Fashion Show in the garden, weather permitting, showcasing her stunning clothes which will be for sale in the upstairs boutique, why not join us and enjoy lunch whilst deciding what to purchase from Alisons huge range of stunning ladies fashion. We have not decided on the date yet but will let everyone know as soon as possible....

We are planning a major reshuffle in the shop this month so please bear with us if the areas don't look quite as pristine as normal during your visit, we promise it will look great when finished....

The birds in the aviary have been busy recently and have hatched their own little baby canaries and diamond doves, how wonderful. All of the birds love it when customers are dining in the garden during summer. Gardener David is busy preparing the garden ready for al fresco dining. It really is an oasis of calm out there, almost Mediterranean and becomes a hotspot for chatting, reading or just enjoying a brew in the sunshine....

During the past couple of months we have welcomed several new traders at The SHED

Lee & Steve with their amazing collection of Vinyl records for sale

Gavin with his eclectic but gorgeous pieces of furniture, items from his french travels and collectables

Needles & Ted, a small mum and daughter business, they create the loveliest children's clothing for little ones to wear

Think thats it for now, let's welcome Summer and enjoy every sunny day that we can.....

Lesley & Ken
