Tea, traders and turning three!

Happy birthday to us, happy birthday to us... WE'RE THREE! 27th February 2016 was our official opening day and what an incredible three years it's been!

We're so proud of The SHED and our entire team - we really have gone from strength to strength and, what began as a dream, has absolutely become an incredible reality.

Over the last 3 years, we've:

  • Said hello and goodbye to some of our traders - see news of our newest traders below.

  • Introduced the new-look tea room - see news of that below, too

  • Started to offer our own workshops in various arts and crafts - see our calendar for news of the latest ones.

  • Become a Frenchic paint and a Voyage textile stockist and now adding Wrendale cards and giftware and Wood U Bend Furniture Mouldings to our stockist list too.

  • Opened The Potting SHED - the area where we concentrate on your outdoor rooms - more on that below too!

So, here's the latest news as we move into our fourth year at The SHED:

Welcome to our new traders

We'd like to offer a warm welcome to the following people who all bring something new to The SHED:

Bertys bits and bobs and his eclectic selection of vintage furniture and homewares

Peter has a penchant for African tribal masks and figures, including some exciting Egyptian pieces

Lizzie brings all sorts of small, decorative, vintage items

Sanchia creates fabulous bespoke lampshades and other stylish home accessories

Tracy is an amazing decoupage artist; her pieces are stunning

Kev Colbear and his quirky metalwork creations - Kev's taking over space on the ground floor of The SHED offering all sorts from whimsical canopies and obelisks to gates, fences and pergolas. Also come and see his hornets, butterflies and bullrushes, designed to add movement and interest in your garden

Welcome to our new, 1940s-style tea room

Although we've been open for a while, we wanted to shout about the incredible Hayley and her team who bring the best food and smiles to our customers. With ration-book menus and delights such as a Land Girl's Ploughmans and an Evacuee's Lunchbox for children, there's something for everyone. From snacks and freshly-baked cakes, to lunches and (pre-bookable) afternoon teas, who wouldn't want to take a break in Tea at The SHED?!

Valentine's Day was a massive success and we're looking forward to treating all of your lovely mums on Mothers' Day. We've had some great publicity for our tea room - it really is the perfect place to come and consider all that you've seen in our showrooms - what better than mulling things over with a pot of loose-leaf tea or freshly-ground coffee and one of Hayley's baked-on-site-every-day cheese scones?!

Thank you

Although we wanted to tell you all of our news, the main reason for writing this is to thank you all; without you, we wouldn't have had the most amazing three years that we've had. You've visited, you've shopped, you've eaten, you've drunk, you've laughed, you've questioned, you've shared and you've chatted with all of us and we've loved every single moment.

So, thank you - you are all amazing and we can't wait to see you all again.
